Count more than windows
Quotes may be based on panes, sides, stories or time. Identify interior and exterior glass, screens, storm windows, skylights, doors, partitions and difficult access. Ask the company to state exactly what it counted.
Clarify detail work
Screen washing, track cleaning, paint removal, adhesive and hard-water treatment may not be included. These tasks take extra time and sometimes carry a risk of incomplete restoration. Discuss them before the crew arrives.
Ask about access and protection
Confirm how cleaners will reach upper glass and how they protect floors, furniture, landscaping and nearby traffic. For commercial properties, discuss work hours, pedestrian control and site rules.
Compare realistic quotes
A useful quote includes scope, access method, exclusions, insurance information and weather rescheduling. Choose a company that explains limitations and safety planning clearly, not one that promises every surface can be cleaned the same way.
