Ask how the account will actually run
Who will clean our building? Who supervises that team? How is coverage handled when someone calls out? How often does a manager inspect the property? These questions reveal more than a general promise of quality because they show whether the company has a repeatable operating process.
Ask what is included
Request a room-by-room scope and ask which tasks are daily, weekly, monthly or extra. Clarify floor care, interior glass, high dusting, carpet spotting, consumables and trash removal. If a task matters to you, make sure it appears in the written scope instead of relying on a conversation.
Ask how problems are fixed
Find out how you report an issue, who answers after hours and how quickly the company normally responds. Ask for an example of a service problem they corrected. A practical answer should include communication, retraining or inspection, not simply a promise that complaints never happen.
Ask about fit
What types of buildings do you clean most often? Can you support our access hours and security rules? What would you change about our current cleaning plan? The final question is useful because a thoughtful cleaner should notice priorities during the walkthrough and explain them in plain language.
