Confirm the property condition
Tell the cleaner whether the space will be empty, whether movers are finished and whether utilities and water are on. Share photos of heavy buildup, construction dust or abandoned items.
List the often-missed areas
Ask about inside cabinets and drawers, appliances, closets, baseboards, doors, interior windows, vents and garage or balcony areas. Do not assume these are included in a standard house cleaning.
Coordinate the schedule
Cleaning should usually happen after repairs and moving work but before the final inspection or new occupant. Leave enough time for drying and corrections. Tight same-day handoffs create avoidable stress.
Document the result
Use a room-by-room checklist and take photos when the service is connected to a deposit, sale or management turnover. Report missed items promptly while the condition and scope are easy to verify.
